Enjoy a unique summer twilight stroll through six gracious historic Bellport Lane homes on a self-guided tour 5PM-7PM, Friday, July 21st, rain or shine.
After the tour, at 7:30PM, please join us at 31 Bellport Lane for a wine and cheese reception and a talk about Bellport Lane by Bellport historian Victor Principe, followed by your questions.
Bellport Lane homeowners have adhered to the 19th century character of these architectural gems, even when making necessary adaptions to contemporary life. Many features may spark ideas for your own home!
- An elaborate coffered ceiling tucked under an unexpected 1870s mansard roof as an addition to an 1840s house.
- An expansive garden room in the British Colonial Raj manner…carved elephant furniture, painted wicker and potted palms on the veranda.
- An impressive house made more comfortable and gracious with later addition of Southern-style two-story screened porches.
- See how skilled designers have mixed antique and modern furniture and objects to bring old houses up to date.
